Panel 1: Jennifer,
Rose, and Iz sit on a couch in Rose and Iz's apartment. Iz is clearly
getting anxious; Rose, who is holding his hand, glances at him.
Jennifer: Think of yourself as a wedge driven between the two panes of glass that represent reality.
Panel 2:
Iz: The squeezing is physical?
Jennifer: Kind of. It's really more as if your identity as the wedge is having a physical effect on you.
Panel 3:
Jennifer:
You're putting a strain on the two realities, but they, in trying to
snap back together, are also putting a strain on you. Your body has
reacted in a number of strange ways.
Panel 4:
Iz: How do I make it stop?
Jennifer: You don't if you want to keep existing.
Iz: Well, that's not great.
Alt-Text: Aye, there's the rub.
