I've finally started updating the character page, and I'll try to continue at the rate of one new entry every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until I'm done. The first entry should have been up on Monday, but a weekend's worth of migraines put me behind, so we're starting today with Mr. Jones. I've included the entry below, but it's also available on the "Characters" page.

And yes, we have moved past the "mysterious Mr. Jones" bit, but someone reading through the comic for the first time won't want to be spoiled by the "Characters" page.

Mr. Jones

Full Name: Why would you need to know that? Go practise your crossbow

Date of Birth: Look, these questions are just very uncomfortable for everyone

He Is: Iz's mysterious boss

He Has: A vast network of willing minions, seemingly unlimited funds, information that is making Iz increasingly uncomfortable, a charitable organisation

He Lacks: A face

Avoid Him If: You can
A Zoom screen displays the name "Mr. Jones." Mr. Jones has his camera off.

Panel 1: In Universe A, back in December of 2022, a shattered-looking Iz A is wrapped in a blanket and huddled on his couch. Rose approaches.

Rose: Hi, Iz.

Iz A: Hi, Rose.

Panel 2: She sits down beside him and brushes the hair out of his eyes.

Iz A: I'm sorry I...you can't know, but...

Rose: You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to.

Panel 3: Iz A begins to cry. Rose leans in close, going to wipe away his tears.

Rose: But this is hurting you, whatever it is. Just please quit the job, Iz. We'll figure out how to deal with the consequences.

Panel 4: Now Rose is crying too.

Iz A [thinks]: Except we apparently won't.

Iz A [thinks]: Knowing the future is totally the worst.

Alt-Text: I find even knowing what's going to happen this afternoon unbearable.
