What I Am Blatantly Identifying as the April Fool's Day Panel: The whole panel is just text, which reads:

Dear Readers of It Never Rains:

The April Fool’s Day joke this year is that there is no April Fool’s Day joke, mainly because I have lost track of not Just the days of the week but the actual date, and also, I have approximately one million essays to grade and am panicking about that. However, do not worry. There is still an April Fool’s Day. It exists as certainly as japes and whoopie cushions and prank phone calls exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! How dreary would be the world if there were no April Fool’s Day. It would be as dreary as if there were no convoluted plotlines designed to cause readers much existential dread. There would be no anxiety sweats then, no angry e-mails, no screaming at the computer screen, "But I don’t want Rose and Iz to eventually hate each other!" It is possible I am not talking about April Fool’s Day any more. Or am I? Is it ever possible to know for sure? Life is but a sparrow’s flight through the mead hall: darkness before, darkness behind, and just that one brief period of light and warmth to sustain us. Where is the horse? Where is its rider? Who let the dogs out? Why is cheese? It is not impossible that Casey Mulligan is writing this note. If he were, he would deny it and probably try to distract you with a shiny object. A thousand years from now, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood. But will you listen? Will anyone listen? Is anyone there? Are you still reading? Why are you? None of this makes sense. Regardless, I will provide today’s actual comic beneath whatever this is because it is sad and mentions cats. Have a wonderful day.

Yours,
Kari

Alt-Text: Just please never ask me to explain any of this.

And now on to the actual comic:

Panel 1:
Iz stands on Rose's porch and takes off his mask.

Panel 2: He walks down the street.

Panel 3:

Iz [thinks]: I'm not sure Rose trusts me any more.

Panel 4: Iz begins to cry.

Iz [thinks]: Think about kittens! So many kittens! I should adopt a cat!

Alt-Text: You SHOULD adopt a cat. Also, aw.
