Hallowe'en Header: Black-and-white
versions of Rose and Maggie mirror each other in the middle of the
banner. They stand on either side of a barrier; each has her hand
pressed against it. The words "It Never Rains" float on Rose's side of
the barrier; the words "by Kari Maaren" are on Maggie's, but backwards,
as if seen in a mirror.
Panel 1: Rose sits on her couch, holding her phone. Her hair is falling into her face.
Rose [thinks]: How do I deal with this? How--
Panel 2: Rose grabs her hair and shoves it out of her face.
Rose [thinks]: Argh. Stupid hair. It's got so long. Back to the ponytail?
Panel 3: She begins to braid her hair.
Rose [thinks]: No...not feeling the ponytail. Maybe...
Panel 4: Rose's hair is in a single neat braid. Denise, hands on her hips, gazes down at Rose.
Denise: This is somehow deeply ominous.
Rose: I was going for "cute."
