Yesterday, I received the advance reading copies of my novel, Weave a Circle Round, in the mail. These uncorrected bound gallies will eventually be used for promotion, but for the moment, they just make me happy because my book is going to be real, and now I have proof. I made an unboxing video as a sort of sequel to the West of Bathurst: The Complete Collection unboxing video, which, as you probably don't remember, didn't work so well because the friend doing the filming forgot to turn her camera on. This new video involves me getting quite excited, reading some blurbs off the book's back cover, and doing a short reading from the novel itself.

Rose: Do you think you'll be okay?

Kris: I apparently will be by 1975.

Panel 2: He stops and faces her.

Kris: But it's not okay that this happened. I had a whole life. For that matter, so did you.

Panel 3: They start walking again.

Rose: I sort of got superpowers, though.

Kris: You think that's a good thing? Haven't you read any comics?

Panel 4:

Rose: I'm not so good with comics, but Iz has recited the plots of several for me word for word.

Kris: Good enough.
