Panel 1: Rose and Iz walk along beside the wall.

Rose: Way before The Force Awakens, my stepsisters and I used to play Star Wars.

Panel 2: Years before, Jennifer (about twelve), holding a toy blaster, argues with the twins, one of whom clutches a lightsaber and the other of whom is dressed in Han Solo's vest. Eleven-year-old Rose, wearing a white smock, sits on a stool and teases her hair into buns.

Caption: Clara, Rebecca, and Jennifer would fight over who got to be Luke and Han, but no one wanted to play Leia. Except me.

Panel 3: Back in the present, Rose perches on the wall as Iz watches her.

Rose: They saw her as a damsel in distress. I saw her as someone who could kick all the butts while still in mourning for an entire planet.

Panel 4:

Rose: She wasn't my princess; she was my general.

Iz: But the gold bi--

Rose: Don't ruin the moment.
